June 1, 2007, Newsletter Issue #47: Cost? ROI More Important

Tip of the Week

The cost of business intelligence can be inexpensive, but it's rare. For example, if you want to do your own web research, or purchase an analyst's report for $129.95, the cost is relatively low. Purchasing business intelligence software can cost thousands, and then you have to hire and educate people who can analyze and understand the data being produced. The cost here isn't as important as the ROI. If it's going to make a critical difference for your business, the cost of a business intelligence solution should be a secondary consideration.
